My name is Olga de Herder, and I was born in the Netherlands. I have lived in Herzlake since 2006. As a tour guide and nature guide, I accompany interested visitors through the Hanseatic town of Haselünne and through the Wacholderhain nature conservation area. And as a new addition to my programme as a nature and landscape guide, I offer tours for nature enthusiasts in the ‘Borkener Paradies’ (Borken Paradise).
The woods are my hobby. I love the natural world, in particular the woods and their inhabitants. I love the Borkener Paradies with the Hudewald forest in particular, as the area truly lives up to its name. I would like to take a walk with you through this nature conservation reserve, and explain who and what lives there, and how the Hudewald came into being. In addition, I know “nature-al”, beautiful stories on trees and superstitions which I am happy to share with you!
During my guided tour through time and nature, you will learn a lot about the creation and preservation of these small natural sites. I would like to introduce you to the Borkener Paradies with its Hudewald, and appeal to your senses as we walk. We listen to the magic and the sounds of the natural world, and may even learn to see it from a different perspective. My programme caters for groups of up to 10 people, adults, teenagers and families.
